What is CAD Drafting Services?

In order to standardize the 2D drafting process, ISO 128 was framed. It is an international standard that aims to aid the exchange of information on drawings globally and ensure their standardization with respect to several technical functions.

ISO 128-1:2003 is the current version that lays down general guidelines for the presentation and creation of technical drawings. The use of a standard system has made it easier to understand and create the drawings as it outlines all the aspects of the drawing such as the symbols, measuring units, annotation systems, page layout, perspectives and overall presentation style of the drawings. This is applicable to all types of technical drawings that consists of Mechanical Parts, Components, Assembly, Fabrication, and Shop Drawings. Since this standard is specific to 2D drawings, it is not applicable to 3D CAD models.
